turning its back on the actor, left him with severe debts. <\/p>\n<p>Speaking to British news publication The Telegraph about his troubles, Spacey revealed that he has spent much of the past year traveling to anywhere he is able to secure work\u2014including Cyprus, where he performed a one-man show at a local nightclub\u2014staying in hotels and short-term rentals along the way. <\/p>\n<p>His But I feel it would be disingenuous of me to allow you to believe that I am indeed homeless in the colloquial sense.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Spacey went on to praise <strong>Mick Brown<\/strong>, the &#8220;wonderful&#8221; journalist he&#8217;d spoken to, confirming that he <em>had <\/em>told him he&#8217;d been living in hotels or Airbnbs while traveling &#8220;wherever the work is,&#8221; but took aim at The Telegraph for &#8220;selling him out&#8221; by publishing a &#8220;knowingly misleading headline for the sake of clicks.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;House of Cards&#8221; star noted that he has been busy working for much of the past year, adding that he is not trying to equate himself to those who are in dire financial straits and being forced to live on the streets. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve been working nearly non-stop this entire year, and for that, I have so much to be grateful for,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And there are many people, as we all know, who are indeed actually living on the streets, or in their cars, or in terrible financial situations, and my heart goes out to them.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But it is clear from the article that I am not one of them, not was I trying to say that I was.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Spacey&#8217;s video was met with enormous praise from many of his followers, including the likes of actress <strong>Holland Taylor<\/strong>, who wrote: &#8220;Glad to see you, you brilliant, brilliant actor.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>The clip was posted just a few days after The Telegraph interview was published\u2014shedding light on Spacey&#8217;s struggles in the year since he lost his Baltimore home. <\/p>\n<p>He first addressed his financial woes in an interview with <strong>Piers Morgan<\/strong> in 2024, in which he admitted that he &#8220;still owed a lot of legal bills that he has been unable to pay.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My house is being sold at auction. I\u2019ve had very little coming in and everything going out.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He added: &#8220;I\u2019m living in hotels, I\u2019m living in&nbsp;Airbnbs, I\u2019m going where the work is.
