prenup in place.<\/p>\n<p>The 45-year-old, who has been a member of\u00a0the &#8220;Selling Sunset&#8221; cast\u00a0since its 2019 premiere, opened up about her marriage to <strong>Romain Bonnet<\/strong>, 32, and how her eye-watering earnings have helped to provide them with a life of luxury.<\/p>\n<p>During an appearance on <strong>Jason Tartick&#8217;<\/strong>s podcast,\u00a0\u201cTrading Secrets,\u201d Mary admitted that she is all for prenuptial agreements, having been forced into a situation where she had to &#8220;file bankruptcy&#8221; when her first husband &#8220;took everything&#8221; from her, leaving her in dire financial straits.<\/p>\n<p>Though she insisted Romain would never be capable of that kind of duplicity, Mary noted that she wasn&#8217;t going to take any chances the second time around, telling Tartick: &#8220;I\u2019m very for prenups.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She revealed that their initial prenup has evolved with the growth of her career, which has seen her rack up an impressive fortune from her real estate commissions, Netflix salary, and her earnings as a social media influencer. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">&#8220;Selling Sunset&#8221; even though she &#8220;put down the money&#8221; for the house\u2014while hitting back at critics who have accused her husband of being a &#8220;gold digger.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI make more money and Romain is fine with that, he doesn\u2019t care,&#8221; she explained. &#8220;He contributes. People were saying he\u2019s a gold digger. He contributes and always wants to. He\u2019s a very stubborn man,&#8221; adding that she doesn&#8217;t believe he would &#8220;ever try and take my money.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBasically it states that any money that&nbsp;I put into the house&nbsp;comes back to me first if we sell it. But I realized it wasn\u2019t serving me anymore. What used to help me relax started giving me anxiety. So I stopped,&#8221; she explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m the best version of me. I have my mocktail, and I feel proud of myself. I\u2019m grounded and centered in a way I\u2019ve never been.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While giving up drinking has helped her to enjoy a new chapter in her life, Mary noted that she has remained very much grounded throughout the six years she&#8217;s been on the Netflix show\u2014despite the series propelling her to newfound fame.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I\u2019m just me. My friends and clients know I\u2019ve been the same person from Day 1. It\u2019s easier to get a reservation now, but other than that, nothing\u2019s changed,&#8221; she added.<\/p>\n<p>However, Mary said she does still face some challenges\u2014especially when it comes to social media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t look at comments anymore. I\u2019m sensitive. My team shows me the good ones, and I ask them not to show me the bad.
